VEHICLE HUNTING
At Woodside Game Lodge, the rifle hunter can hunt to his heart's content. Ample game, such as eland, red hartebeest, impala, gemsbuck, blue wildebeest, kudu, waterbuck, springbuck, blesbok, and zebra roam the veld. The vegetation is typically bushveld, with evergreen shrubs and tall grass, providing the ideal conditions for rifle hunting. A professional hunter will always accompany the hunter on trips. We also offer the opportunity to hunt trophy animals at excellent prices.
Walk & Stalk
Our bushveld and landscape are ideal for the good old ‘walk and stalk’ hunting method. We have a PH to guide and help you, even if you are new at the game. We recommend being fit, wearing the correct clothing, and being prepared to spend the day in the bush. This is as close to the game as you will get, making sure all your senses are alive and alert!
Hide Bow Hunting
Hide Bow Hunting Bow is very popular in South Africa and bow hunters find it extremely exciting and comfortable at our lodge. Hides are placed strategically in the landscape to ensure maximum success and the average shooting distance range is between 12m to 23m. Our well-designed hides and various waterholes on the farm give both hunter and animal a fair chance. These hides also include tree stands. A professional hunter is at your service to ensure you choose the perfect trophy. Bow hunters should know their own capabilities and must be able to shoot from sitting and standing position. Helpful equipment like laser rangefinders manufactured by Nikon and Bushnell are recommended. Bow hunters must be able to shoot through a very small hole without causing distraction. Furthermore, archers should know the anatomy of African game, as shot placement is very important.

Facilities
Woodside is well-known for its hunting facilities; we have hosted hunting groups over the years who return to make more memories and give new generations the thrill of the chase!
We are equipped for up to 16 hunters in various accommodations. Hunting vehicles are available, or for those who prefer walking, field guides are available if required.
Our fully equipped slaughter facilities on the premises make your weekend stress free. Taxidermy can also be arranged.
